The gentle giants of Tan-awan. Oslob is where the biggest fish in the sea — whale sharks up to 12 meters — cruise the shoreline every morning, and the snorkel boats put you in the water beside them. It’s the most famous marine encounter in the Philippines, and it runs on an early clock: the feeding windows open at first light, so the tour leaves Cebu City before sunrise. Then it’s the sandbar at Sumilon Island, the blue-flag marine sanctuary offshore.

After the sharks, the day turns uphill to Simala Shrine, the monastery-cathedral perched above Sibonga where pilgrims come from across the Visayas, with the chicharon and pasalubong stop at Carcar on the way back. The all-inclusive joiners format covers transport, guide and the day’s admissions; the desk confirms the schedule and slots at booking.
